The mission of the Glascock County Food Service and Nutrition Program is to promote lifetime wellness to Glascock County students and staff by serving meals that are high quality, nutritious, enjoyable, and economical.

Effective July 1, 2014, USDA, under The Healthy Hunger-Free Kids Act of 2010, will be implementing the Smart Snacks in School standards. The new nutrition standards will build on the already healthy changes we have made in school meals and snacks by replacing junk foods with healthier snack options. Please refer to the link below, "Smart Snack Guidelines", to review the new standards. Also please check out the new "Alliance Product Calculator" to determine whether your snack meets the Nutrition Guidelines.
